Bosom Buddy Project Roadshow 2024

Big change can happen when each of us takes a small step and commits to action.

The Bosom Buddy Project aims to spark conversations about breast cancer detection and the importance of regular screening. At the heart of the Bosom Buddy Project is taking a pledge to fight breast cancer.

On 25 and 26 June, we participated in a roadshow themed Bosom Buddy Project, in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Singapore (BCF). The two-day event brought together MSD and other BCF partners, who shared their health and wellness initiatives and offerings with the CBD workers working around Guoco Tower.

Roadshow participants got the opportunity to learn more about breast cancer, made online pledges, and committed to doing their part to fight breast cancer. Participants also received Bosom Buddy goodie bags from BCF including BCF partners' vouchers and product samples, as well as educational materials about breast cancer, breast self examination and more.

The MSD booth celebrated TNBC survivors who have bravely shared their stories with us. They inspire and offer hope to other cancer patients and their caregivers. Participants also learnt that TNBC is not a definite death sentence.

The roadshow was graced by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development, and MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC. Mr Chua visited all the booths, including MSD's, and made an online pledge.

The roadshow was also attended by several key stakeholders, including Dr Benita Tan, Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon, Sengkang General Hospital, and Mr Miguel Dorotan, Senior Manager, Health Policy at Economist Impact.

Besides offering information on treatment options and financing, we engaged participants via a simple quiz, a photo booth, and distributed healthy smoothies, to create memories among family, friends and colleagues.
