Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy uses anti-cancer drugs to destroy or slow down the growth of cancer cells. These drugs may be given intravenously (injected into your vein) or by mouth.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy uses drugs to boost the patient’s own immune system to enhance its ability to recognize and fight cancer cells.

Many patients with breast cancer will have some type of surgery as part of their treatment. There are different types of breast surgery, and they are performed for different reasons.

Radiotherapy

Radiotherapy uses pulses of radiation to destroy cancer cells. It can be used to meet various treatment goals. It is sometimes used in combination with other treatments.

Targeted therapy

Targeted therapy destroys or slows down the growth of breast cancer cells by attaching to and inhibiting specific proteins that help cancer cells grow, spread, and live longer.
